My mother has been reading a lot about all the celebrity singers and how it's sometimes hard to keep themselves grounded in all the hype and fame. Some people have someone to keep them grounded such as parents, or friends. The problems that some teen stars have is there fans, I am not saying all fans are like this, but they will scream and try to get there autograph. A naive singer/actor would let it go to there head and say, "Wow! They really like me!", and that is where teen stars will start to act like they are too good for anybody. If they are not careful, they will get caught up in the image of the hype. They will begin to forget who they are, and start to think that they are what they do. If they are not carefui they will make themselves an Idol. Soon every single door to there dreams will shut and that is How flattery will bring you down.
I asked Sara Reeves, an up and coming christian artist, how someone stays God centered, verses Industry centered. She said she doesn't look at the charts, or read
the magazines and what they say about her, because if your not careful, you'll start
to believe it.
The Bible says, in Romans 12:3 "Because of the kindness that God has shown me, I ask you not to think of yourselves more highly than you should. Instead, your thoughts should lead you to use good judgment based on what God has given each of you as believers."
